If it doesn’t work, disable it and try again, to be sure it was the cause. Now add one of the render settings, render it. Now make a light, render it… if it doesn’t work, same thing as above. Past that, make a cube… render it… if it doesn’t work, same thing as above. If it has the issue there, then it’s time to reset Maya settings, even reinstall it if that doesn’t work, or reinstall Windows if that doesn’t work. If that’s not it, standard trouble shooting is important… try one thing at a time until you cause the problem. If not, the only cause I know of in VRay for blank white renders is if you forget to add the VRay Attributes to your camera, when using the physical sun (Select Camera Shape node (make sure it’s the shape node, not transform node), Attribute Editor -> Attributes -> V-Ray -> Physical Camera, then scroll to the bottom expand the new ‘Extra V-Ray Attributes’ section, and tick the box to turn it on. Before anything more complicated, are you sure you didn’t click the view Alpha button in the Render View? That makes everything black and white.
